The Conference
Fresh Take: Strategies for Student Success is a conference by teachers for people interested in education including principals, parents, college students, and educators. The conference is brimming with real conversations, helpful interactions, applicable strategies, and oodles of inspiration. This is the 9th annual conference, which will again have engaging dialogue among innovative, committed educators.
An optional day of classroom observation on February 3, 2022 is also available for an additional $25 (includes lunch with an administrator.)

An early bird special rate of $85 is available and an even lower rates of $75pp is available for groups of five or more through December 1. Registration includes CEU certificate, continental breakfast, lunch, snack, t-shirt, and swag. After December 1, the individual registration rate will increase to $100 and group rate to $85pp. An optional Day of Observation is available on February 6th for $25.

Keynote Address
Our Keynote speaker for Fresh Take 2022 is Donalyn Miller
Donalyn Miller is an award-winning teacher, author, and international presenter who has taught 4th-6th grade language arts and social studies in the Fort Worth, Texas area. Donalyn is the author or co-author of several books about creating engaging and inclusive reading communities for all children. Her most well known books are The Book Whisperer (Jossey-Bass, 2009) and Reading in the Wild (Jossey-Bass, 2013). She is the co-founder of Nerdy Book Club which has grown into a podcast and several Ed Camp-style professional development events.
Donalyn is the founder of the annual summer #bookaday challenge and co-hosts (along with Colby Sharp) Twitter chat #titletalk, a monthly chat about reading and books.
